Last weekend, our LBC team came together to celebrate the holidays—a wonderful opportunity to pause and spend time together in a different way (and with our spouses). Hosting at our home, I found myself reflecting on our small but mighty team with an overwhelming sense of gratitude and responsibility.
Gratitude for these exceptional humans who have trusted me with this chapter in their lives (and for their spouses who support them), and for the responsibility to stay focused on LBC’s vision: to stay the course on our growth plan, to take risks (but not too many!), to continue building our team without losing sight of the characteristics core to the team we want to be, and to expand our client base while ensuring our work—and the clients we partner with—align with our values.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited! We’ll begin the year with a strategy checkpoint: evaluating how well we’re executing against our strategy and identifying any tweaks needed. We will also revisit our plan for adding services throughout 2025 (and beyond) and the resources we need to deliver those services.
In September, I shared a “year in review” post, setting two key goals for LBC:
1. Grow our team by three:
- A Business Development Manager (we welcomed Myles Senecal in October).
- A deeply experienced strategy and leadership consultant (we welcomed Connie Walker, VP Strategy, in October).
- A marketing and operations expert (excited to announce this hire in January!).
Check, check, and almost check! 😊
2. Establish space for LBC: While we’re not quite there yet, this remains a strong goal for the future.
As 2024 comes to a close, on behalf of the entire LBC team, I want to express our deepest gratitude to all the organizations that placed their trust in us this year—whether for leadership training, strategy development, fractional executive services, business advisory, or coaching. Thank you also to our network for your referrals; we couldn’t do it without you!
And to my team—thank you. I won’t let you down.
Here’s to 2025!
